God’s goodness and constancy is made all the more relevant and poignant in contrast with the evil present in the hearts of men, and the dirty deeds they commit. This psalm is full of profound advice, and great quotable lines. I believe there’s even a hymn inspired by verses 1 and 2.

Just watched a great video today, which compares evolution and creation cogently and truthfully. I invite all of you to watch it as well, because it helps dispel many of the falsehoods floating around nowadays. Please, take some time and get the truth on evolution and creation.

Dishonest judges, out to profit and cause harm, are severely chided and threatened with divine punishment in this psalm. Oh, how I wish these things didn’t jump out at me so! I read through Psalm 54, and couldn’t help noticing verses 5 and 7. Read the psalm and tell me, are these Biblical sentiments? Is this what Jesus would do? Would you wish this on your enemies?
