Which Bible translations are better?
The Bible is a literal life-saver. If you already have one, dust it off and get reading! If you don’t have one, get one! There are many organizations that give them out for free - probably any church will do this for you.
Of course, it helps to have a Bible you can understand. Which translation is better? We Christians often wonder about this when faced with the multitude of Bible translations out there. A good rule of thumb is to get a modern translation where the language isn’t so old that you can’t relate to it anymore. A good translation in modern-day language makes all the difference!
I use the New Jerusalem Bible most of the time, although I still refer to the New King James Version. The New American Standard Bible translation is also great, along with the New International Version.
