Psalm 9: God’s judgment is always fair, even when it doesn’t seem so

Thanksgiving and praise is offered to God in this psalm, for a timely divine intervention: “My enemies are in retreat, they stumble and perish at your presence, for you have given fair judgement in my favour, seated on your throne as upright judge.”

I noted in a couple of the past entries how applicable the texts were to my current situation, so to me, this psalm is very interesting. I do not yet know the outcome of my time of trial, but it is likely that I will soon know it. Reading these verses gives me hope, because I too have been hoping that God would give me “fair judgement in my favour”. I now look forward to see what happens next, and know that God will do what’s best for me.
