Psalm 6: I will put my trust in God

This psalm, in particular verse 2, described my state yesterday: “… I am fading away, heal me Yahweh, my bones are shaken, my spirit is shaken to its very depths.” I really felt the brunt of this “trial” of mine then. But my wife’s prayers, together with those of our friends, got me through, and by the end of the day, I felt a lot better. I could say too, “For Yahweh has heard the sound of my weeping, Yahweh has heard my pleading. Yahweh will accept my prayer.” I am truly grateful for my wife. She does miracles in my life, every day. I can say about her without exaggerating that “she is far beyond the price of pearls” (Proverbs 31:10). You see, externally, nothing had changed. I was still under the weather, so to speak. But my attitude changed, and it made all the difference. I was able to sleep well, I awoke refreshed, went about my business today, and was very productive.

I can give no other explanation for this except that it’s God’s work. The Bible says that God listens to prayer, and he listens to the prayers of many on behalf of one even more. My wife organized this miracle by asking our friends to pray for us. Now, by all worldly accounts, I should worry, but I rejoice instead. My worry is gone. I have turned the matter over to Him, and am confident that He will handle it to my advantage. He knows what’s best for me, and His solution cannot fail. I will put my trust in the Lord all the days of my life. Amen.
